Sacred Heart is busy and vibrant and busy Parish and we are very fortunate to have many activities and groups within the Parish. Listed below are the various programmes and ministries that we have. New members are always welcome, please contact the Parish Office if you would like to join any of our groups. Thank you to all those that volunteer their time and services in our Parish.

Every Saturday afternoon from 2pm-4pm there is a club for children and adults with Additional Needs.They meet in the Presbytery to play games and offer frienship to each other. For more more information, please speak with Fr. Terry.

The Adult Faith Formation gather together in small groups during Advent & Lent to put into practise the Gospel in our daily lives.

Art & Prayer Group meet on Tuesday mornings at 10.30am in the Conference Room of the Presbytery. Sr Sheila Gosney leads the group with prayerful discussions whilst teaching Parishoners how to explore their creative talents.

Altar Servers
A team of Altar Servers help at every weekend Mass. If you would like you child to be involved with this Ministry, please speak to one of our Priests


Sr Lucilla is available every Monday morning to discuss your childs Baptism. Preparation classes are held on the first two Mondays of the month and a welcome Mass on the third Sunday of the month.


Every November we hold our Annual Mass for all those that have been Bereaved in the Parish. Names are read out and photogrpahs of loved ones displayed in the Church. A candle is also lit in their memory.

A memorial book is also on display in the Church, if you would like your loved ones name added, please contact Noreen in the Parish Office


Our dedicated team of Catechists help prepare our children for First Holy Communion and Confirmation. We also have a committed team to help those that our journeying on the RCIA programme. Please speak with Fr Terry if you are interested in becomming a Cathechist.

Sacred Heart Choir
The Choir prepare our hymns and sing at all Sunday Masses. For more information of rehearsal times and to become a member, please contact John Twomey,


The Church Cleaners prepare the Church for weekend services on alternative Friday and Saturday evenings. If you would like to help please contact Fr Lylie.

Each weekend our team of Collectors help with the offertory collection, new members are welcome to assist. Please talk to Fr Michael if you would like to join this group.

The Community Centre is available for hire for Family Celebrations,Childrens Parties, Weddings, Christenings, Funerals, Communions and Birthday Parties. For more inormation please contact Anna Redmond the Community Centre Manager at

Each Sunday during the 12.30pm Mass. Children up to the age of 5 meet at the Creche and draw images from the Bible. For more information on ways you can be involved with this group please contact Chris Kolade at The latest rota for helpers can be viewed here

On the last Sunday of the month after 9am Mass, Parishoners are invited into the Community Hall to share a Cup Of Tea with our Priests.

We have now set up a Credit Union branch in the Parish. This is a fantastic way to save and borrow money with minimal interest rates. Teams are available in the Presbytery for collection and advise, every Tuesday morning from 9.15am - 10.30am, Thursday evenining from 6.30pm - 8pm and Saturday afternoon from 2pm - 4pm. Divine Mercy Devotions takes place in the Church every Saturday directly after 12 noon Mass.

Our Eucharistic Ministers help our Priests with this very important ministry at all Masses. They also visit the sick and the housebound. If you are interested in becomming a Eucharistic Minister, please speak with Fr. Jacques and he will organise the required training.

The Finance Committee meet quarterly to discuss the finances in the Parish. If you have a financial background and would like to help the team, please contact Fr Michael.

The Filipino Community meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 3pm to come together and worship.

The Friends of St Eugene meet monthly for sharing of ideas and social activities. Please contact Kirk Jacob at Oblate Partners in Mission for more information

We have a small team who organise all our Fundraising Events. All money raised in these events goes towards the building fund. If you would like to join us to help plan more events or to share ideas, please contact Noreen in the Parish Office 0207 624 1704

A dedicated team help with the Funeral Ministry. They assit the mourners with readings, placing symbols on the coffin, the offertory and the distribution of Order of Service. Please speak with Fr Michael if you would like to become involved with this group.

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings, we have a team of people that visit the local homesless shelter in Cricklewood. They offer food and friendship and an listening ear. To help at the Homeless Shelter, please speak with Fr Terry.

The Irish Pension Advisory Service meets every Wednesday morning in the Community Centre from 10am - 1pm. There is no need for an appoitnment. For more information please contact Margaret Geiger of Irish Elders,

The JPIC meet on the last Monday on the month to focus on issues regarding Justice and Peace. They work as an action group in the Parish in calloboration with the Diocese. For more information or to become a member please speak with Fr Lylie.

The Liturgy group meet regularly to plan and prepare for services and events taking place in the Church. For more information please speak to Fr. Michael.

Grotto at Lourdes

Every September a Pilgrimage is organised from the Parish to Lourdes. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like to travel with the Oblates this year. The following information leaflet will give details of costs.

Parent and Toddlers meet every Monday morning in the Presbytery from 9.30am - 11am. Toys and games are supplied for the children and the parents can have a relaxing chat over a cup of tea,new members always welcome.

The Parish Council meet monthly. A representative from each ministry is present to discuss ideas and concerns with the Parish.

A Prison Mentoring service is available. Training is provided by a Prison Chaplain and visits are then arranged. Fr Terry says Mass every Sunday morning in Belmarsh Prison. To join the team for prison visits, please contact Fr. Terry.

The Repository Shop is open at the back of the Church Wednesday to Sunday from 9.30am - 1.30pm. Many religous items are on sale including cards for all seasons and occassions, candles rosary beads, statues and prayer books.


A lot of work goes on behind the scenes in the Sacristy. A dedicated team ensure that all Masses are prepared for and that everything is in order for baptisms, funerals and weddings and Church Services.

A Scripture Group meet every Thursday morning to discuss the readings for the coming Sunday. A small social gathering is then held afterwards in the Meeting Room of the Presbytery. New members always welcome for more information please contact Fr Jacques.

We are fortunate to have a tutor from Caritas to help with Sign Language. Michelle Roca has visited us on many occassions to sign our Mass.,

Once a month we have a Solicitor who visits the Parish to offer free legal advice. Please contact the Parish Office to reserve an apppointment.

We have excellent links with St Vincent de Paul in the Parish and a representative who has a formed a good team to visit those of our Community who need assistance with finances, friendship and care. Food is donated from our Parishoners on the first Sunday of every month and this is distributed to the poor and the needy of our community.

The team of Ushers help at our Weekend Masses. They greet and welcome Parishoners, hand out newsletters and help keeping communion time orderly and prayeful. To join this ministry please contact Chirs Kolade at


Wednesday Club
Each Wednesday afternoon Fr. Terry meets with Senior Citizens of the Parish, The Young at Heart Group. They share many fun activities and trips out. If you know of anybody that would like to join, please speak with Fr Terry.


The Quex Youth Group meet every Friday from 7pm - 8.30pm. Every week there is a different activity. The youth and Fr Terry enjoy cinema and theatre trips, flower arranging, cake baking and bolloywood to mention a few activities. The group will be travelling to Malta during the half term break from 15th - 19th February. New members are always welcome, anybody in +Secondary School can join.
