Sacred Heart Church 1865

Listed below are some events that will be taking place:-

January 11th 2015
The celebrations began with the renewal of Baptism vows at all Masses.

February 17th
In conjunction with St Vincent de Paul's 150 anniversary we gathered for Mass at 12 noon followed by a dinner at 1pm in the school hall to mark both the Oblate and SVP anniversaries. Photos of the event can be viewed here

February 21st
Fr. Louis Lougen OMI, the Oblate Superior General celebrated 6pm Mass. Fr Ray Warren OMI, Provincial for Anglo Irish Province con-celebrated together with many priests both past and present who have been part of the Sacred Heart Community.
A social gathering was held in the Community Hall after Mass. Photos are available here

May 1st
The Justice & Peace Group (JPIC) led the Mass in aid of St Joseph the Worker. Photos can be viewed here

May 3rd
A Pilgrimage walk took place to Tower Hill Parish after 12.30pm Mass. Photos are available here

June 21st
A special Mass was held at 12.30pm. This was followed by a street party with a family fun day and lots of activities in the school playground. Photos are available here

July 12th
We celebrated marriages that have taken place at Sacred Heart over the years. Couples were invited to attend 12.30pm Mass where they all received a special blessing. Refreshments were served in the Community Centre afterwards. Photos are avaialble here

November 22nd
The closing ceremony was held with the main celebrant Cardinal Vincent Nichols. Many Oblates returned to Sacred Heart, together with visiting Priests.Please cick here to view some photos of this very special event.
